A fascinating book, On Blue Falls Pond is well researched and beautifully presented. Glory can't get past her heartbreak over the death of her husband and child, and Eric is coping with his son's serious problems, feeling frustrated and helpless. Eric is a gentle, kind-hearted man who is always trying to help, and Glory wants to find her way and help her grandmother. She realizes that she won't heal until she recalls the whole truth, but does she want to face the past? Can these two likeable but wounded souls find solace in each other? Blue Falls Pond is a magical spot where Glory can go to find peace. Readers can almost see the waterfall and feel the tranquility of the cool pond that has always been Glory's special place.

The well-developed secondary characters are multi-layered, adding depth to the story. Granny is a marvelous elderly woman who gives of herself unconditionally, and uses some Southern expressions that are amusing. She is very independent and feisty. On Blue Falls Pond is an emotional, strong, and satisfying read, and one that readers are sure to enjoy. This reviewer will definitely be looking forward to reading Susan Crandall's next book.
